2 Timothy 3:5 : A form of godliness but deny the power thereof (Another take on this verse)

 


2 Timothy 3:5. A form of Godliness but deny the power thereof. The year today is 2022. In the times of George Fox was the 1600s. About 400years have passed. Have the church progressed. If it’s an institution, it must be the longest running institution on earth. However has it progressed ?

The words of Timothy must have been written another 1000 years before George For more. 

And 2Timothy 3:5 is still as relevant today as it was during Timothy’s and George Fox’s : Christianity has lost its way ! Why I say that ? Jesus came in the spirit and with power he witness to the world the power of God. The church supposedly to be his arms and legs, eyes and ears are just performing the bodily function but lack the spirit and the power thereof. 

And all this because Christian are no longer connecting to God and hearing Him in their own heart. 

Some people don’t want to go to church because it’s not relevant to them and they don’t find God there

I stop going to church because I have found God and realise he is not in the church. 

I stop going to church not because I don’t believe. I stop going because I want to believe there is more much more than it is now. But it’s not. And in contradicts my own experiences conviction in the Spirit:
