Ephesians 6:12 : Another Take on the verse

  “If we give you a pistol will you fight for the Lord. But you can’t kill the devil with a gun or sword.” George Fox


I think here the quote by George Fox the founder of Society of Friends but became nicknamed Quakers, captures succinctly the idea of Ephesians 6:12.

The weapons of spiritual warfare is more mundane than we might think. It’s as simple as fasting and prayers. To understand spiritual warfare we must first understand the weapon and learn how to use it. 

The weapon is but man himself. The weapons are his Mind and Spirit. To be it more correctly, the weapons is the Light in man and he has to turn it on with his Mind and Spirit. The spiritual light translated into practical terms would be things like compassion, love, peace, joy, perseverance, patience, long suffering, kindness and gentleness. These spiritual attributes are but attributes of Love. 1 Cor 13.
