John 16:33 : Another take on the verse


 What Jesus meant was don’t worry, you will always have some sort of problem while living. However it needn’t be. Because I (Jesus) has overcome the world. I have tested drive it and I have found a way to overcome it. And I am here to teach you how to live an abundant life. I have the method to help you overcome your difficulties.

Christianity do have a way of making natural simple things of life very complicated. Even the topic of Rest becomes heavy. Thinking about the way the church talks about Rest does makes me fatigue. Metal fatigue. Spiritual fatigue.  Be like little children. When we were kids we played till we were exhausted and what do we do when we are ? We eat batch and sleep. A good night sleep. So what do you do when you are mentally, emotionally or spiritually tired ? You rest. You stop running and stop running aimlessly at that.  Take a moment. Breathe. And are-Organise.  And Re-Charge.

Acts 16:6 : The East was already crowded

  Going Eastward would have encountered possibly great resistance. The East was already spiritualised long before Jesus came or christianity came about. Buddhism, Hinduism, Zorasterism  and probably countless other spiritual practice.  The West was however ready spiritually. And Paul was probably more culturally akin to the Caucasian than Asia. Going Westward made more sense.
