The Purpose of the Church (Sangha)

 


Similarly one can also say 
“I take refuge in Christ
I take refuge in His Way
I take refuge in His Body

I know the church while I was growing up as a community however the church or should I say the Sunday service has become more of a conference than familiar as in family as in community. It’s like going to a movie. But here in the 3 Refuge it spells out so clearly what the purpose of the church is. 

Triratna, (Sanskrit: “Three Jewels”) Pali Ti-ratana, also called Threefold Refuge, in Buddhism the Triratna comprises the Buddha, the dharma (doctrine, or teaching), and the sangha (the monastic order, or community).1 Jan 2022
